Day 1: A recent picture of me and 10 fact about myself

I am always glad that this is day 1 because instead of talking about my blog name (like most of the blog challenges do for day 1) I get to take the time to tell you a bit about myself instead.

This gives me a chance to show you the kind of person that I am, what I like and what you can look forward to hearing from me.

So let's get into it shall we!!

1. I am half Mexican - I know, looking at me, you honestly wouldn't even think that I was half Mexican, but I am (from my dad's side of the family).

2. Even though I am half Mexican, I actually do NOT speak Spanish - I can understand some of it, but I don't speak it.

3. I am actually a very emotional person - and because I am an emotional person, I tend to overthink a lot of things, which is one of my biggest downfalls.

4. I started working for the first time in 9 years in December 2020 - I got a full time job at Walmart (which I love my job). I had been a stay at home mom for 9 years before that, so going back into the workforce was a big change.

5. I am a survivor of many things - necrotizing fasciitis, child abuse, and sexual abuse - this is something that a lot of people don't know about me (especially the last one) and due to those two abuses, that is kind of why I tend to be the way that I am :(

6. I am in the process of a divorce - granted that was the hardest thing that I had to make the choice about, it was also the best choice for me.

7. I have been pregnant 6 times with 7 babies (3 angel babies and 4 live births) - I was pregnant with my first at 17 years old (I lost that one) and had my last baby at 31 years old. My now 18 year old son, was a twin, but I had no idea that I lost the baby early in the pregnancy until I had gone into full blown labor with him.

8. I suffer from a few mental health problems - anxiety, depression, and PTSD. Due to a lot of the abuse that I went through growing up and into my adult life, I started getting really bad PTSD with anxiety & depression. I do still deal with flashbacks, especially when something is done to trigger it

9. I have not seen my two oldest children's dad since 2008 - he has chosen not to be a part of their lives (even though he had always made such a big deal out of being in their life). He has refused to see or even speak to them since 2008 and it really has been for the better.

10. Being a single mom and the thought of even dating is scary as hell - I thought that it would be easy or it would be nice, but in the end it has been scary and a huge challenge.

What are some interesting facts about you?
