School's Out and Summer Started

Well, it's finally that time of year. The kids are out of school for the summer and the craziness of having them home all day begins!

Oh to be able to travel, that would just be awesome! I personally haven't had much of a chance to travel to too many places in my life, which does kind of suck, but I am hoping that at some point I will be able to travel to these places.

This is a topic of conversation that I do hear is brought up often. Education to me is very important and I tell this to my kids every day, especially when they are bringing home not so good grades. Just recently my middle schooler and high schooler are bringing home grades to where they won't be passing and one of them may not be able to graduate on time. Part of it, of course, is because they would rather just mess around with their friends and another part is that they don't want to do the work when they get home.

When it comes to setting goals for myself, I will always set them, but then I have a hard time trying to get them going. With my depression and anxiety, sometimes when I set the goals and think about them, my anxiety goes into major overdrive and then I just shut down.

Meet My Two Best Friends

I have had some good friends in my life, some have stuck by me through a lot and some have just run for the hills when I got pregnant. Some have been there for me through thick and thin and these two ladies are the two that have been there for me. One has been my best friend for now 12 years and one has been my best friend for a little over 5 years. There is nothing saying that you can't have more than one best friend, regardless of what people tend to think. Now don't get me wrong, we have had our disagreements and we have been mad at each other, but we have ALWAYS turned around and talked about it after we have all calmed down.

I want you all to meet the two greatest ladies that have been there and have helped mold me into the person that I am today.

Trying to figure out a blog name is never really the easiest thing. I probably spent a total of 5 days trying to figure out what I wanted to call my blog. I wanted to mean something. It needed to represent who I am, what my life is like, etc. I am one sassy mom, I will tell it like it is and I will have sass come right along with it. I have 4 kids, 3 of them that live with me full time (I did have all 4 of them living with me full time at one point, but there were some things that did happen).

Life of a Sassy Mom of Four means exactly what it says. I am a sassy mom and I have 4 kids. In my day to day life, there is never a dull moment in the world. Not only do my sons have a sassy mom, but they get double the sass with their 6-year-old sister. There is a lot of sass that goes around in this house.

Journey Has Started - Extraction of Teeth and Day 1 Update

So as most of you know, I have been planning on getting my teeth extracted so that I could get dentures. My teeth were decaying and breaking, it was becoming hard to eat anything that I liked. It was an easy choice to make, but that the same time it was a difficult decision to make. Having people look at you like you were doing drugs and questioning you all the time got really hard and my self-esteem went way down. But I have now officially started the process, the healing time has started and before I know it, I will have my dentures!

When my adult teeth came in, I dealt with a lot of issues because I literally have little to no enamel on my teeth. By the time I was pregnant with my third child my teeth were breaking more and more. By the time I got pregnant with my fourth child, I was being accused of doing meth, even though I have NEVER touched any of those hard-core drugs before in my life *and I certainly don’t judge anyone that ever has*.
